Fugata can save you ‘oodles’ of time!
The examples below have been created automatically using fugata’s default settings. We have started with a simple melody and under the ‘Compose’ menu selected three of the options to give three different harmonization results. ‘Harmonize’ harmonizes the given notes, ‘fugue’ creates a fugue by treating the notes as a theme and ‘canon’ creates a canon in the same manner. A short theme can often create many pages of fugue or canon.
This is the simple starting melody:
By selecting ‘Harmonize ‘ from the Compose menu we get this choral harmonized choral and by selecting ‘Describe harmonies’ we get the Roman numeral chord descriptions.
By selecting ‘Fugue’ from the Compose menu we get this.
By selecting ‘Canon’ from the Compose menu we get this.
