capella7 v capella start 7

capella 7 has no practical limits to the length or complexity of score it can produce, but if you only produce scores with 4 staves or less we can provide a less costly version of capella, called capella start,  which meets these reduced demands.

capella-start costs £54 (or £49 for the download only).
capella7 costs £169.

capella-start is suitable for a small ensemble arrangement, a four-part choir arrangement or uncomplicated piano works. Its limits are:
– 4 staves per line of music
– 2 voices per stave
– 100 bars score length.
capella7 has no practical limit to the size of score you can write. In addition it has plugin and export features not available in capella start. All missing features that are available in capella7 are shown grayed out so that you know that they are availbale if you upgrade.

capella7 costs £169. If you buy capella-start and find that you would like the full program – which has every feature you could wish for – you can upgrade for the difference in price.
